Students at all grade levels are offered a number of complementary courses.

In Grade 7, students choose 4 separate complementary courses - two in Semester 1 and 2 for Semester 2. Grade 8 and 9 students may select 2 full-year or 4 semestered complementary courses.

Below is a brief description of each complementary course:

Art – Create your own art pieces using a variety of mediums and materials.

Foods – Learn more advanced recipes and kitchen techniques.

Construction – Learn to use hand and power tools to create products in the woodshop.

Extra Phys. Ed. – Opportunity to learn new skills and enhance abilities through a variety of sports.

Fitness – Discover and develop skills in relation to personal fitness and physical well-being.

Sports Performance – Gain theoretical and practical experience in a variety of topics as they will work towards meeting individual wellness goals in their pursuit to develop as an athlete.

Outdoor Ed – Learn the skills and games to be outdoor active.

Leadership – Working with other students to create and run school activities and events.

Tech Challenges – Learn about technology, coding, and robotics, 3D printing.

Band - No experience requires. Learn to play in a concert or jazz band.
